Here we set tile in a downstairs bath. There had been some settling and minor cracking of the bsmt floor & we didn't want our tiles to crack. So we installed a product called Ditra,which should prevent this from happening. (you can learn more about this product at the company site at: http://www.schluter.com) I think it turned out pretty nice.
